MISSION VIEJO, CA - Scott Rhinehart, Democratic Candidate for the 73rd California Assembly District, received the endorsement of UNITE HERE! Local 11, adding to his impressive list of supporters at this early stage of the campaign.
UNITE HERE! Local 11 represents over 30,000 workers in the hospitality industry and beyond, throughout Southern California. Rhinehart’s commitment to working families was cited as a key reason for UNITE HERE’s endorsement.
“Scott Rhinehart has been a friend of working families. He supports Medicare For All and safe workplace conditions where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. He will amplify our voices in Sacramento,” said Ada Briceño, Co-President, UNITE HERE! Local 11.
For Rhinehart, this endorsement is especially meaningful because of his background. “My father was a grassroots organizer for the United Mine Workers,” said Rhinehart. “From him, I learned the importance of collective action and of bringing a voice to the voiceless.”
In addition to UNITE HERE! Local 11, Rhinehart has been endorsed by Congressman Mike Levin, California State Senator Josh Newman, California Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva, and the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers, Western Region Council, among many others.
